Hillingdon South Live Facial Recognition Operation |
||
|
On the afternoon of 23 April 2026 Officers from Hillingdon South's Safer Neighbourhoods Teams deployed on a Live Facial Recognition operation on Station Road Hayes. I had the pleasure of meeting many members of our community to discuss deployment of Live Facial Recognition and the benefit in efficiency it offers our teams as police officers. Thank you to all of our community who stopped to chat and ask questions.
As a result of our operation your teams made 3 Arrests:
A 40-year-old male arrested for failing to appear at court for offences of criminal damage and burglary. Failing to comply with a community order and theft of a parcel.
A 36-year-old male arrested for breaching notification requirements under the sexual offences act and being recalled to prison.
Your Teams undertook 4 further interactions with persons who were subject to restrictive conditions ensuring their compliance and undertook 2 Searches one of which resulted in a community resolution.
